aye. if waterproof is your main hope timmbo, our kid, i'd get a hard shell and a nice wool jersey/base layer to go underneath it.
i'd go with a softshell that isn't cycling specific. arcteryx have a couple new ones out this year. -

This seems a pretty good deal - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/gore-bike-wear-path-mtb-jacket-and-contest-thermo-jersey-bundle/

I know you said you don't like gore, but I really can't see how anyone could find that jacket offensive.

There are a few Dolan track frames on eBay for £100 (or £200 with hs and alpine fork)
Is this deal worth it, is there anything out there for a similar price.

planning on cycling to work in the new year - I live in Battersea and will be cycling in to the city, near monument/bank. am I better off crossing over the river, and going along embankment? people i've spoken to recommend this as it's faster and safer.

in agreement there, look delta would fit, what you have is not a modern pedal at all,

infact you would be better off buyer a cheap pair of look keo easys or something that come with cleats for around 35 quid

or even these

Just bought some shimano r087 shoes, quite like them. Very comfy.

Are you after carbon soles?

Sidi dominators on amazon for 130
They're MTb
But really no difference except for the sole which means you can walk around in the dominators.
There's a 20% code flying about which will take them to 100
