^ It depends a lot on your headshape, im the same as you, but by luck I ordered a Lazer O2 helmet that was on sale from Wiggle a few years back, and it fits really closely to my head (no homo).

When I was a kid we didn't have helmets at all, and if you did turn up in one your mates would spend the day trying to smash your head in.
ftr I'm getting a Cannondale badboy 29er I think I's it socially acceptable to wear a road helmet on a none road bike? I have no idea about this shit.
always wear my road helmet when riding my 29er (its not a like a TT helmet or anything, giro atmos II). but then again i do wear lycra riding mine too ha

wrong. style matters
I quite like the look of these POC Octal helmets, by the sounds of it they cover more of the head than other road helmets too, expensive though.

Yeh I think so, if you were cycling in the city you COULD go out and purchase one of those 'street' ones like the Bern helmets, but like no one really bats an eyelid anymore.
Having said that, I ride my fixed in town but wear a road helmet, but my fixed has quite a road bike profile - drop handlebars etc

Briefly but the ones I liked where as much as the poc, and on looks alone I preferred the poc, I'll have another look though, any model in particular to look for?
Good loads of other bits and bobs to get, any cycling shops got any decent cods not coats
floating about?
