Ride London was carnage today, saw a heart attack, broken legs, serious head injuries, not fun

8:36 gutted to be honest as the time was screwed as I stood still for almost 2 hours - I cycled with a guy from work and the moving time on strava was 6:23

How did you get on?

Apparently someone died at Ride London

Too many people clearly not cut out for it/ not aware of the effort it entails

My fella did it too.. Said he saw a man with a broken nose & arm before he'd even set off..
Some looked like they were in a lot of pain! Good atmosphere in Kingston though..
The app was quite shit, didn't update enough..

I dunno…in a group of 25,000 people, i don't reckon a death on any day of the week is very unlikely.

He had also been a leading football referee in the town for the past 30 years, as well as a level four referee tutor who had worked at national level and chairman of Reading Referees' Association.

I've got one, well one of the long sleeve jerseys, from a few years ago before the "pro team" line, plenty warm enough when coupled with a LS Merino Base layer and a gilet on top, commuted loads in rural lincs last winter temps regular sub zero

Cheers.

Oh and on the death, wasn't meant as a dig at him per se. Just seemed like there were a lot of incidents from what I read, others were saying etc

I've got the pro team Jacket, guessing it's pretty similar to the pro team LS jersey, was my go to commuter jacket all through winter last year and will be again this year. Was expensive but get so much use out of it can't complain. Very warm and showerproof although still need a waterproof for when it pisses it down (got a pro team race cape off the rapha ebay outlet)

Not taking the risk on a new £6.5k bike. After a year or two when it's been battered I won't care so much.
