What's the comfort like on them Jesus? For the price they look good. Quite like the jerseys that they've just released.

I've got the Camou stuff, only had a couple of rides out in it, but it functions just fine, pads decent, thought there was an issue with some stitching rubbing around the leg area, didn't notice it second time,

Cheers, good to know. After the bibs and camo jersey, will cop.

spotted this totally rad resprayed, no-bullshit SE big ripper today. Note the improvised mud guard. Can anyone ID the U-lock he's using?

Been thinking about a bike for a couple of years. One of these just went to the top of the list.

Almost as much as this guy, locking his top-end Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboudit to his seat post:

sorry MLI but that isnt a makeshift mudguard, its a "ass saver" and is total bullshit. All your bike and your legs will still get wet and covered in road grime, I thought you would be against such anti-function bullshit?

Haha, Jerry.

Cool, wouldn't know if that mudguard is useless, haven't ridden a bike in years. Noted.

Don't like Germany/Germans/German products. Will prolly just go Kryptonite

You know what's the best fukken thing about U-locks? When I'm cycling on a path and some yobbie in a volvo pops up from nowhere, I can smash his door with a 6 pound of bent steel rod.

I'm after a full suspension mountain bike and a road bike. I have a budget of £1k all in for both. Anyone got any recommendations for either types? Or in all honesty would I be better off just buying say a £1k hardtail bike as a compromise between the two?

£500 won't buy you a decent full suss bike. I'd go with the hardtail option myself.

Evans have some decent reductions in road bikes at the mo, such as

https://www.evanscycles.com/cannondale-caad8-sora-7-2016-road-bike-EV239399

https://www.evanscycles.com/specialized-allez-sport-2016-road-bike-EV244921

That would leave you with enough left over for something like a Btwin Rockrider 580 or a Vitus
