Had my clipless on now a couple of weeks and I’ve yet to fall.
Approaching lights etc it’s ok, but when I have to unexpectedly stop for something I forget about them and I’ve had a few close shaves.
It’s when I’m daydreaming mostly like a fucking idiot.

Yup I am.
You’re a cunt but that’s beside the point.

I’m getting a new frame and will be trying to get rid of my old one.
Any ideas where to sell and what I might get for it?
Just frame and forks.
Was a £1000 for the bike originally.
Will I get 2-300 quid???

Bike experts I need your help.

I’m getting a new frame and will probably end up with all new parts at this rate.

I have Shim 105s from my Giant bike.
I’m getting direct mounts for my build and was hoping to keep most of my existing group set.
I want to know if the Ultegra 9010s would be ok to swap out and keep my existing levers.
Heard something about incompatiblity on the torque?

Bear in mind I’m no experts here so my bike lingo is limited. I’m trying to get back into it and build my bike instead of relying on the LBS.
I think I should know the ins and outs.

what 105 group? if its the road disc the piston sizes should be the same between calipers with different mounts. shouldnt have any problem with compatibility

I can’t tell you exactly.
The specs on the pdf just say 105.

Giant Contend SL1 2017

They are not disc. These are Direct Mount

Thanks W.
But I don’t know what my brakes are so that’s only good if I know my exact lever model.
105…… what??

Why the fuck won’t Giant put that on the PDF?

that contend wont be direct mount, you can see on the pic where the calipers are bolting through the frame/fork

you need the standard 9100 calipers

direct mount frames/forks look like this

No, I’ve ordered a new carbon frame.
It’s direct mount.
My question is are the 105 brake/shifters ok with the Dura Ace calipers?

Reading more around the net I think I’m fine.
Just the brakes would be ok.
I can’t combine any other parts of the Dura Ace line though (derailleurs, crank), just the brakes.

I’m not a complete beginner. I was into BMX hugely years ago and have already got new wheels. Changed cassette etc.

I’m getting back into it and am pretty confident of building a bike on my own if the parts are correct.

Pull away the hood from the rear of your shifter and check the model of your shifter

Then look at page 18 to check compatibility.

Was going in circles looking for that.

Cheers Jesus.

So it looks like I’m ok.

My Castelli zip top in XL arrived and it's tight as fuck. Ridiculous how small this is for an XL.

I'm a medium in Engineered Garments for a comparison.

Have to back it although not sure I can bring myself to get a XXL.

You’re making yourself look a cunt.
You’re not involved in the conversation. I’m getting advice from mature people.
Just drop it you fucking idiot.
