Any recommendations on a bike bag/case for traveling with a road bike?

I have previously borrowed a B&W (first edition I think), which has done the job, but it hasn't been a pleasure. I have been looking at the Scicon Aerocomfort 3.0, but I am a little hesitant with the idea of a soft case. Also, the Thule Transition hardcase, but it comes in at 17.6 kg, which seems to be a general problem for hardcases?

Evoc Bike Travel Bag XL - will do the job just perfect and easy to storage when not in use. don't worry to much about the soft cases. had friend who travel with his lighweight urgestalt in a hard case and it came out broken. and all the damage reports at my local bikeshop where from guys with hard cases. he selling EVOC a couple of years now and never had a complaint

my theory: ramp agent sees a hard case and might not be so careful with it because of the hard shell

Thanks a lot, wembly! Evoc seems to be a little more padded than the Scicon AeroComfort. I’ll give it a try

It’s in German but skip to 2:10 to see a real good travel hack for the wheels! it’s a lid from a rain barrel extra protection for cheap

Ended up following advice on here and went for a Canyon. Love it, can't believe how smooth it is.

Need to drop stem, etc.

Lovely bike. I considered the same bike but instead just decided to upgrade my Roubaix to Di2.
I wanted a racier setup but for the type of riding I do it just doesn't make sense.
The Di2 is a proper luxury and probably not needed but its just so good compared to mechanical shifting.

rented a di2 supersix over easter in mallorca this year - shifting really was great, even compared with my perfectly tuned dura ace r9100 group Cry

This. Auto trim and auto change with semi synchro, so simple but those two alone have converted me.

Only downside is lack of Mac support. I want to add D-Fly, I only use Macs and so many stories online about unwanted software updates that brick systems and can't be fix without a Windows machine.
