got my bike nicked from my shed the other week.

Other than gumtree/ebay etc. where's the best place to buy? looking for a commuter sub £500 single speed if possible. Fuck all out there at the moment…

edit: based in London if that helps

Always had a good experience with LFGSS forum as a buyer. Good stuff goes really quick though.

yeah lfgss or shpock. how tall are you blackham? i was offered this cool af gt legacy for £400 on lfgss the other day. mostly new parts so slightly more expensive than you'd hope but would make a great commuter/path cruiser (58cm frame)

Cheers Swede but unfortunately would be too big for me (~54cm).

Thanks for the lfgss recommendation, will give it a look.

have a look at https://www.findthatbike.co.uk/ too. compiles all 2nd hand bike listings in uk. might even find the one you've had nicked! (think that was the original purpose of the website)

Spicy start to the Tour so far, great to see MVDP take a stage win yesterday.

Anyone been following Lachlan Morton's Alt Tour? Riding the whole Tour route, including transfers between stages on his own self-supported, no team cars, mechanics, accomodation, team mates to draft behind and aiming to beat the peloton to Paris. Been doing 300km a day for the first couple of days

Can follow his progress here with live tracking https://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/stories/the-alt-tour

Great wins by both Alaphilippe and Van Der Poel Cool

Way too many risks lately though, both here and at last Giro, with riders, even top ones, knocked out by crashes each and every day

Did 300km yesterday and settled down in his bivy on an inflatable mattress after eating a tin of beans and sausages and baguette before another 300km today Laughing out loud

Looking to get a new set of wheels for my road bike (https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/rc520-disc-road-bike-105/_/R-p-308072). Max budget is £600 and happy with second hand as long as in good nick. Having been looking at Hunt quite a lot but wondering if people have experience with other brans they could recommend.

The Prime ones on wiggle get good write ups and are popular.

Heard good things about EFS Wheels, based in Derby.

Please don't put £600 wheels on a decathlon bike…. £300 wheels and a partial groupset upgrade to get rid of those shit trp brakes would be a much much better way to spend the money

Impressive stage today considering the Alps start tomorrow. Shame for Roglic though, would have loved him to win it this year

On the other hand, I can't stop checking the Alt Tour, he's been doing great so far, but this long transfers are killing him

Yeah was flying on the flat stages but it's gonna be a killer lugging all the extra weight through the mountains. Twice up ventoux Shocked saving grace is that the peloton has a rest day on Monday so he can try and build up a bit of a lead again.

Lol at cycling it in fake Birkenstocks as well Laughing out loud

I thought those were just EVA Birks, which are actually extremely comfortable.

Luckily for him rest days and time trials days will give him some advantage, but that very last transfer is impressive.
