Wheels-
i've got a pair of Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels but the rims are well worn down now on the braking surface. does anyone know if it's possible to get new rims fitted; can you even get replacement rims from Mavic as the spokes are a bit weird? or better to just buy a new wheelset? had a quick look online and the 2011 pair are around £400
the hub bearings are still super smooth so seems a shame to throw away the whole wheel. any advice appreciated

you can do it.. but i wouldn't trust a local builder to do it.. mavic can, but it wont be cheap like duffman says.
plus they're reluctant to do it with anything apart from their stock parts. bladed spokes are designed for their hubs and rims so using anything else hub wise will be difficult.
get some rim cleaner and clean them up.
if you're not running a brake, use some electrical tape to cover it up.
hey zeus.
that frame is pimp.. although i prefer the s works to be honest.

Dont know what your riding, mtb, road etc but Superstar Components make an excellent wheel at a bargain price. Every option, colour and price available from £100ish to £1000 a wheel. http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/index.php

got mullered by a car today in barons court..
indicated to go right but then swung left to do a u turn, i smashed into the back of her..
ripped up my right arm.. tats have been butchered. old hip injury re-ignited. she was very apologetic so it was hard to get angry. in hindsight i should have been a bit more aware of what she was gonna do.

I'm looking at getting a road bike. Know v little about them, lots of recommendations for a specialized allez. Anyone tell me any better? Also, is it worth me saving a few quid and getting a second hand one off eBay or am I better paying 20% more getting a new one that I know will be bang on? Cheers…
