It is to my understanding that Lady Di had those fitted to her bike as well.

but they can be cumbersome if you're riding with gears and brakes.. more incentive to go fixed eh
arcteryx alpha sv glove looks pretty fantastic in terms of dexterity and warmth, but quite pricey.
pearlizumi lobster gloves with hi-loft insullation are good down into the teens.
Just seen this, cheers mate. Will be anything from -3 to +5 © really. It doesn't get that cold down here, but I never even though that it could have been other areas of my body that could be cold. Those arcteryx ones look incredible but as you said, very pricey!

ive been quite savvy in the buying of bits though, probably still spent more than £4k - ill tot it up when its built
the reverb is good, its up and down more than a whores knickers, seems a good purchase so far
Can anyone recommend any good winter cycling gloves? The only thing that screws me over during the winter is my fingers which go numb because of the cold. Anything that stops the chill would be great! Ideally, they would need to be padded and good grip. Normally I'd just go out and buy some but would be nice to hear some recommendation. They'd be for off road use.
how cold are you talking? when your toes and fingers start going numb, that's usually the indicator that you're losing heat from other areas of your body such as your head and chest. without good coverage there, your body will reduce the blood flow to your extremeties.for temperatures close to or a little below 0 F a pair of choppers gets me by fine. just finishing off a new build, blur xc carbon
got a set of 2012 fox terralogics and a purple king headset en-route from the states today - paid rape for the king headset but purple is out of production
need to track down a di2 front mech at no rape price as well seeing as ill be able to run it on this frame

A rock bounced up and smashed my mech hanger off on Sunday. Bent my rear derailleur & snapped chain
Just got back form teh shop. The total damage with parts and labour; £147. All thanks to one lousy rock.
