Menswear: Denim advice!

Hi, I'm looking to buy a pair of jeans with a minor fault (see pic).

Does anybody have any experience with this kind of fault? My concern is that while it's a minor fault, it could deteriorate over time - is that a legitimate concern?

The stitching? Surely any decent tailor/Denim Doctor would be able to re-stitch that for minimal cost?
