i've got some edwins on today that i forgot i bought Laughing out loud dont know much about them apart from they said first wash on the label

they've been creased up though, bought them from asos a month or 2 ago and they are creased from then.. i've ironed them and ironed them but they won't come out.. the material is like no denim i have felt before either.. any ideas???

the wasit is also an inch too big.. im gunna try shrinking just the waist but i doubt it will work as i've heard everywhere edwin don't shrink

ill be your mum for 1 minute, and 1 minute only here ok.
just wash them on the hottest wash, hang them up to drip dry, the will shrink and the creases will come out and be perfect when ironed.
sorry, but i dont do the facts of life, ask yer father. Eye-wink

Update on washing my Edwin Nashville's -one wash at 40% (inside out).

They hardly shrunk on the waist at all, and I am now contemplating selling them as a result to get a smaller size (they're a 34x32).

@ Jack Bauer: I hate to say I told you so, but…

Oops

Pretty sure they are called orange overdye. They were ss05 and are pretty hard to get nowdays. I might be wrong about the name but they are hard to get, yahoo.jp is your best bet.

Cool, thanks again. While you're here…

*Where's the best place to buy APC's (online)

*What's the sizing like (compared with Edwin Nashville's?, as we're on the subject)

*How much difference is there between New Standard's and Rescue's?

APC sells them themself (apc.fr). I dont know where else sells them to be honest.

Sizing depends on whether you are talking about raw or washed. Raw APCs stretch more than any other jeans I can think of, and you need to go down 2 sizes (some people may even say more). They will be really tight you first get them, but they stretch LOADS, trust.

New Standards are a slim fitting regular jean, rescues are just regular, right? The hem opening is going to be a bit bigger on the rescues.

Thanks -so do the raw ones shrink much when they wash?

-Also, looks like denim bar's prices have gone up to $140+shipping

That site says you should wear dry denim as much as possible before washing as you will lose more colour in jeans. How much truth is in that?

if you want a big contrast between the worn-in and less worn-in areas, try not to wash your raw denim for the first 6 months (no hobo). my samurais are at about 5 months unwashed at the moment and are only now beginning to lose indigo properly in the worn-in areas. raw denim doesnt need very much washing anyway.

to get your true size after stretching, then washing, then stretching again, collective wisdom is to go down 2 sizes from your "true" size with raw APCs, like i said above…
