Apparently the dry blacks take an immense amount of time to start fading nicely, like around 12 months. So unless you are silly dedicated i'd just pop 'em in the wash when you feel like it (especially if they have started getting smelly now). The alternative would be to soak them and continue trying to break them in if you really want some fade.

Thats going to feel quite uncomfortable though, isnt it?
If you think about the area that you would be stitching the patch into, the denim will also be weak there.
I'd say either wear them, and forget about it, or buy a new pair and start again…
okay, i've never washed my thin finns and i've had them for four months now.
they're black dry denim, i'd like to wash them, but how can i make them look their best? or shall i wait for a little longer? i wear these jeans most days, so they've been through quite a lot.

my APCs have got a hole in them where they fold from sagging them.. you can't see it when i'm wearing them but it's annoying me a bit, thus:
what would be the best way to sort it out? get another bit of denim stitched in underneath?
