I usually don't spend a great deal on jeans, as I've found a shop that does a nice line in flares that don't cost an arm & a leg. I just build around them.

Gonna purchase some soon. Likely something fairly safe like Diesel.

Any suggestions for other brands in that price bracket making nice, simple boot cut or flared jeans….?

If you're looking for jeans in the diesel price range may as well look at something like Nudie

Aye, true, although if the sizes are anything like their tshirts they'll be too small….

i have a real paranoia about my jeans looking like they're bootcut. my 19cm stack in a weird way so that all the spare denim is in the bottom foot of the legs so it kind of looks bootcut. it does my head in.

dior jeans are stupidly long. unless you are 6'4" or something 6 inches of stacking looks silly

6'2" but even then it's too much. I was waiting til i'd washed them before i got them taken up, which i did last week so should get on it. they're the only jeans i have with a wide enough hem for trainers at the moment.

dior jeans are meant to be like that. don't buy them if you don't want stacking.

and whoever wants flared diesel jeans - do you realise this is a fashion forum? you're unlikely to get much praise for such denim from many posters on here.

Stacking is all well and good but there comes a point when it looks like your jeans are too dam long imo. The shorter you are the worse this becomes and the tighter the jeans the longer they can be.

I'm 5"8 and these are hemmed to 34" (perfect imo)

Don't care what anyone says about never hemming when they were 38" they looked terrible and I looked like a fool with jeans bunched half way up my legs.
