Not too stretchy to be honest as the denim is quite heavy but they are sanforised. Site is going OK! I'm just happy to have things up and running.. Had to delay things for a while but got there in the end! Smiling

We gonna try and get more sizes in over the next few weeks. I'll try and keep you guys posted on here. If there are any other brands or anything you like to see give me a shout and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks

Yes they can defiently be done, only thing you need to watch out for is the pockets meeting on the back area. any more than 2" the rear pockets can start to get very close start to make the jeans look like they have been altered.

If you do get them done, make sure they strip the whole waist and seat area down to ensure a graduated seam, so there is minamal notice of it being altered.
Ive seen so many decent denim being killed by dry cleaners/alteration places doing some horrific jobs on denim waist bands, seen a few local to me that just pinch the waist and dart it either side on a pair of Dior's !!! lucky the person who did them didnt cut anything away and i sorted them out Smiling

Seperate note, the chain stitch machine is here and up and running.

Done a chain stitch hem for a guy with some Edwins today he bought from Oi Polloi today, he was well happy with them as they dont do chain stitching. honest i dont think you can tell from the manufacturers finish, to be fair my cotton was slighty thicker than the Edwins but still looked a treat Smiling

Pics to follow !!

(to those of you who have pm'd me about alterations/repairs, please can you email me on michael@thedenimdoctor.co.uk , sorry but at min havent got time to be logining in here every day, but will reply to emails normally same day Eye-wink )

It's something to do with the treatment of the jeans. When this style was made (Original x California blue), they baked them in an oven so creases set in. The creases have become more subtle with wear but have shown up vividly after washing. I think they look pretty cool though, it's something different.

Ok denim experts, I need to wash my APCs for the first time, as they have sheep shit on them Laughing out loud

What's the best way? 30 degrees I assume, but with or without fabric softener? Presumably I shouldn't put anything else in with them due to dye leakage?

I wouldn't use fabric softener with any of your clothes, and certainly not denim.

Last two pairs I've had, I've washed them at 30 degrees, without fabric softener. But I don't use that anyway. Washed them inside out, but I doubt that makes any difference. Might need to do some squats after their washed because they shrink a bit in the wash Laughing out loud I'd wash them alone as well, or with other darks.
