What would I search on ebay to find a decent pair of aged jeans? "Aged" and "worn" generally turns up no results and "vintage" comes up with hundreds of overpriced pairs of 501's

Sorry to but in, after a pair of slim, light grey jeans. Preferably heavy weight denim. I know nowt about this sort of thing really so any pointers in the right direction would be ace.

I searched 'Shrink To Fit Levi' and came up with some nice worn in ones for pretty reasonable prices…mostly from the US though.

Rather than messing around I'd consider size down 1inch?

want to splurge on a new pair of jap denim seeing as none of my jeans fit me any more, and I've got a mate going to NY next week so he can do me a pick up at decent exchange rate…just wondering when it comes down it, are the Samurais worth an extra £40 over these studio D'artisans I've seen?

Get the Sams, better cut(I think) and you won't be disappointed with the quality.

edit: also if you're mate asks about tabs, you may end up with a pair with better details!

Yeah, I already know this. 32's were out of stock and I couldn't arsed fucking around waiting for them to be delivered so I got them in a 33.. Had planned to get them tailored anyway so didn't think it would be too much of a problem. Have worn them loads even still but it's really pissing me off now.

Also, don't want to wash/soak them either just yet. Basically, the seem which runs down the back of the jeans between the pack pockets, would that have to be slightly altered as in take a bit of material away from each side or would the pockets then look too close together? Would I need to fuck around with the ouside leg seam too?

Soz, what I didn't quite explain was IMO by the time you have paid to get them altered like this, with the likelihood that they will never be "quite right" for a reason such as the one you suggested, you may as well sell and rebuy.

Send the denim doc an email, ask for a quote/ have a chat with him to get his opinion. I'd imagine you'll be looking at £30ish at least though…

got a new pair of petit standards, sized down 2 on my regular size but they're pretty tight - can just about do the top button up. Should I wear them around the house for a few days to loosen them up or sell and size down only 1?

Stick with them hectogon, mine were like that but after a few solid days of wearing them they soon stretched out a tad and after a few months stretch to your true waist size.

Waist will stretch a bit so that's fine.

How do the legs fit?
If you like the 'tightness' then keep, if a to tight around legs go up a size.

Anyone know the cheapest place to get a new pair of New Standards right now with a discount code or whatever? The 20% mywardrobe discount code would have been nice but isn't working for me

Cheers
