Can you not dry them outside? This will prevent the smell, which usually comes from something drying very slowly, resulting in that nasty musty smell.

Got my first pair of APC petit standards today sized down 1 size to a 33, they are pretty tight when i do up all the buttons so as long as they don't strength more than an inch they should be perfect but i seem to be getting a bit of gathering round the shins area (think people in the know call them stacks?) anyways i was just wondering will this "calm down" with wear because i don't really want to get them hemmed?

How should I size in these?

http://www.asos.com/Edwin/Edwin-Sen-Japanese-Red-Selvedge-Skinny-Jeans/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1442588&SearchQuery;=selvedge&Rf-700;=1001&Rf900;=1497&Rf934;=2286&sh;=0&pge;=0&pgesize;=20&sort;=-1&clr;=Rawstate

I can't see these on the fit guide.

Also anybody recommend something similar, but in a heavier denim, 14oz maybe 17oz.

saxonheights, edwin normally fit 2 inches smaller than actual aist size, but don't worry too much as asos returns are very easy.
I think a cinch back looks shit on skinny jeans though -What's the point?

I'd recommend you don't got any heavier than 14oz if you're going that skinny a fit -and I'm not sure you'll find a pair that skinny with the Jap brands that go to 17oz/ 19oz.

I have these, definitely wouldn't recommend them. I think the fit guide only shows European Design (ED) jeans (Made in Tunisia)

ED-71 Red Selvedge, 14oz denim slim fit but not ridiculous, non cinch.
ED-55 Granite (non selvedge), around 14oz I think, looser up to but more tapered, non cinch.

Never tried an 80 or 88 so unsure how skinny they are.

I have those granite ED55's, shame they're non selvedge but would recommend, roomy up top but slim from knee down

Try allevol. The heavier weight (15oz) type 1 are the slimmest. They wear in & fade beautifully. Japanese made, japanese denim, English based company but run by a Japanese dude

I don't think there's any quality issues with Albam stuff. It's more that recent products have become a little uninspired/drab, and prices are considered too high. I've always found the quality of materials/craftmanship to be good though, and the denim has always been regarded as great value for money.
