Radio 1 in Ibiza isn't ever going to have a good lineup though is it, not exactly going to attract the kind of discerning European crowd that attends Space on a Sunday night for example.

Only the Brits even know what the fuck R1 is so of course it's going to be tourist/lad fodder, and if Mac and Tong are picking then it's little surprise as they're both horrendously overrated selectors.

I know it is radio1 and the audience is who it is, just couldn't believe how bad it is.

They money to quality ratio is appalling.

My little bro is after some wheels of steel and a mixer if anyone is shifting ought?

Preferably 1210's (will entertain cdj's) and a Pioneer / Denon / Vestax 3 channel mixer.

Inherited some vinyl decks recently from a family friend. Don't even know what they're called off the top of my head but they're nothing reputable as far as I know.. Anyway, need a mixer, something cheap that does the job. Never mixed before so this is all just for learning purposes. Could someone recommend me one or does anybody have an old one they need to get rid of?

eBay, whybuynew, gumtree are your best bet these days. If you're after new you'll have to accept rape or look into the new pioneer turntable.

Best off with a pair off Stanton STR 150's mate.

Motor is better than Technics and they are built like tanks, also pretty cheap to pick up second hand.

Thanks. Will look into the Stanton's. Have owned a pair of Citronic PD1s for about 12 years. I think it's probably time for an upgrade of sorts. Promised my teenage self that I would buy Technics when I grew up and had the money to do so.

Also looking to get a new cartridges/styli. Have a pair of Stanton 500's at the moment. Was looking into a pair of Ortofons - perhaps the Pro S. Anybody use these?
