there's nothing wrong to define yourself with clothing or other products (on a certain level), if it's still authentic, not a charade and especially not the most important thing which defines you as a person.
…times are over where you could tell what 'subculture' someone's into or which music someone likes, simply based upon their clothing. everybody can buy themself into a certain lifestyle/culture, but you'll always notice the difference if someone is serious about whatever they might be into.
i guess for most people on fuk, buying brand xy is just a logical consequence of whatever other value/influence this person might had in life and this is (in a very good way) what sets this place apart from places like styleforum.
…so the key question isn't if you define yourself with a certain product (because everyone is doing that…) but why do you define yourself with this thing.
