Been selling on ebay for years with no problem. I use a different account for my ebay and my paypal. Just been paid for 2 items and ebay have gone and listed my ebay email as payment method NOT my usual paypal.

Any reason why this has happened? Anyway both buyers have sent payment to an email address that has no paypal account. Anyway I can rectify this?

Thanks!

If the email they sent the money to has no account linked to it with PayPal. The buyer should be able to cancel the payment on their end.

What annoys me is when people buy items which are clearly described, don't pay and proceed to bombard you with supplemental questions about the item. Even when you raise a nonpayment case there's a time limit applied to it, so you can't relist the item, and the buyer is also at liberty to leave you negative feedback, which is ridiculous.

all non payment is frustrating but those who make no contact atall (dispute or otherwise) should be treated differently and banned outright

If I list a cheap item that ends with no bids, I love cunting off the lowballing bottom feeders offering £7 for a £10 item by telling the item has been given away/binned.

Maybe one for the weirdos thread?

Also, anybody that asks "what's the lowest you will take?' really pisses me off and does not get a response.

Strange - exact same thing happened to me. I've already contacted the buyers to rectify the problem, though they'll have to wait til the funds come back.

The only thing I can see how it happened was all 3 buyers made payment via an automatic invoice whereas I normally invoice myself.

Can't see how contact anyone at ebay/paypal so it seems it is what it is.

Happened to me recently, ebay then automatically picks up you trying to send an email address over a private message, (even tried typing it onto paint and screengrabbing/attaching it to the message but still blurred it out!

What's with all this postage policy crap? You have to create a new policy for every single item you list unless you want all the same costs?

I have automatic payments set up on Ebay via Paypal and I have around £40 worth of fees this month. But I don't have the money in my Paypal or bank account to pay it. I've tried to remove the automatic payment but you can't with outstanding fees. Will Paypal try to take the funds from my bank? Or will my Paypal just be overdrawn -£40?

Shit. Just thought that when someone charges back a transaction your Paypal can be left in the minus, thought it may have been the same kind of thing.

So I made a complaint and the seller has responded via resolution centre to send it back which I'm happy to do.

So do send it back or does he need to do something, at the moment I don't have an address?.

I got some jeans from italy with a returns policy. Do I have to fill out some returns form on ebay, can't see anywhere or just contact the seller… what if they don't reply with a returns address? There is one on his packaging.

Thanks for letting me know Einstein, I did wonder why I bothered to measure them

'Hi,

The jeans arrived yesterday and are a size Eur 46 which is a 30 inch waist not a 32. They are too small for me as a result. Please give me your details so i can send them back.

Thanks'

someone opened an ebay claim on thursday. saying not as described (it is…guess item wasnt what they wanted but reason they used was stupid so they've got no chance of winning).

replied to case straight away (politely and offering to help…not refund but prove them wrong) but not heard anything back, nor have they closed the case.
but they've been updating their facebook etc since so they aint too busy.

wondered how long before the case is closed or i can escalate for paypal to look into it / whatever.

just the minus balance in paypal is annoying me.

I can't recall offhand how many days you have before you can manually close the case from your end, but do into the Resolution Center and it will tell you in your case.

On another note, if you have an ebay voucher and had planned on using it for an item on the day it was due to expire, the voucher apparently ends at 12pm on the day and not 12am.

Sure this has been asked many times but would appreciate any help as this is the first time it's happened to me

Some fuckwit has bought a jumper from me on ebay, and after paying 3 weeks late hes received it and now said that he doesn't think its authentic (which it is), so am just assuming he doesnt like it.

How badly does the resolution centre favour the buyer (him)? IIRC the buyer tends to win everything right? Am i better off just asking him to send me the jumper back for (partial) refund? Am worried he'll pretend to have sent it off and claim it's lost then he'll get the cash for it too.
