Weird, checked my ebay purchase listings and it seems that the option to request a return is available even for items where returns are not accepted.

Interesting to see how this plays out. Surely ebay will tell him to jog on if that was he reason for the return.

It's merely a request, you're not obliged to accept. Buyers can nowadays also request to return goods outside of the stated return period. Same principle applies.

* unless you are a business seller
** unless you didn't set your returns policy details to "no returns accepted"
*** unless he went the route of "item not as described"

i'm selling two of the same thing on ebay, is it dodgey that two people with the usernames "***********-0" who both have 0 feedback have purchased?

one is located in finland and one norway

one has made several lowball offers which makes me wonder why a scammer would try to lowball?

just sold my old imac on ebay and after receiving the item the buyer says the screen doesn't work anymore. I sold the item as faulty and described what works and what doesn't…screen was damaged but worked just fine before i sended it. Just googled the name of the buyer and it's a company which specialiced in apple care and it-services…
is this a classic move of lowering the price or do i have to be worried that he can somehow get his money back?
Never had troubles on ebay before, but friends warned me that selling old tech stuff on ebay is always risky.

eBay have changed their selling layout. I can't find the option for paying to have your item displayed on the USA/CA site?

You should be fine so long as you have your postage receipt. Once whatever you've sent arrives in the US you can get more detailed tracking on the USPS website - might be worth sharing that with him if he's antsy. I've had things stuck in US customs for over a week before and imagine it could be worse at this time of year.

You need the receipt, and the address on the receipt needs to match the buyer's address. What does the tracking say? Check it on USPS

How long ago did you send it? I have something sent on the 12th that is still on it's way to someone in the USA, so they are definitely being slow

Yeah, so many like that. They pay you the bare minimum and then expect Mr Porter service. Had people who have paid on xmas eve pester me every single day since for tracking… Fuck off!

Anyway, I think you won't need the receipt until it has been say 2-3 weeks since postage with the item not turning up, until then just the tracking is fine

Had someone giving it me the "WHERE IS MY ITEM?!?" bollocks even though I had given him the tracking number.

Looked it up myself for his home country and delivery had been attempted three times already plus gave address of post office where parcel was being held Roll Eyes

10 days. Maybe longer if it's something you really want or it's really cheap.
