If they don't have it at the depot, phone Paypal and open a case with them for item not received - their cases have primacy over eBay disputes anyway.

In a bizarre twist, eBay have now reversed their decision and are rewarding me my credit.

Is eBay now being managed by Theresa May?

I've never had negative feedback and some dickhead has given me one unnecessarily… Can eBay rescind it?!

The listing even stated that it will take 2 working days to dispatch and it's 2nd class postage. Even gave the dickhead a timeline of when he will receive the item as well, when he messaged on the 5th asking if I've posted yet.

'One of them innit' ffs

Ebay can remove it as long as you posted it within the dispatch time and the item is as described. Some people are just dicks and expect you behave like an online retailer. Oh and does the guy like anchovy on pizza?

Laughing out loud amazing.

I've grudgingly accepted some cunt's offer on something I'm selling but he hasn't paid up yet.

How long should I wait? Its been 3 days.

IMO the item should still be available for purchase until the money is in the bank. Evil

Sold a jacket via PayPal on 18th November. It was listed on eBay but asked me if I’d do it cheaper via PP so I could avoid fees.

Anyway, got a message out of the blue today - he’s opened a case as “one of the buttons is faulty”. Claims he only received the jacket a few days before Xmas, as it got lost in his works internal post.

He’s asked if he can return it for a full refund as its faulty. I’ve obviously said no. He’s had it 42 days, so reckon worn it and damaged it himself or just doesn’t fancy it anymore. When I sold it and posted it, it was perfect.

Anyone have any advice? Don’t wanna get screwed by him/PayPal rule in his favour, when I’ve done nothing wrong

agreed illwill. eBay need to impose faster payments for accepted offers, similar to how you (usually if seller has enacted the option) have to pay immediately if you want to pay full price on a BIN item.

currently got a return of my own - Sold a jacket with the detachable faux fur trim missing. Photos didn't show a faux trim so buyer couldn't have expected to receive one, but he's opened a return request. I would normally think I have no reason to accept as condition is all good etc, but he's opened the request under the 'Missing parts or pieces' return option which makes me unsure. He says the jacket looks weird with the exposed zip along the hood where the fur would attach, which admittedly wasn't clear in the photos.

Anyone with experience on this? Am I best just to accept the return, or can I refuse? I'd rather just accept immediately then allow him to escalate to eBay and for the same result to come about anyway, as eBay seem to back buyers to a chronic degree.

If there’s part of the jacket that should have been included that isn’t, you should disclose that IMO.

Relying on the pics alone is a bit off. I’d accept the return.

I hate now that with returns, it's on the seller to pay for the buyers return as well. What the fuck lol.

They must forget that it was developed as a C2C platform

Yeah I think I will accept it. Just for something as blindingly obvious as an absent strip of fake hair I feel averse to doing so. Especially, as has been said, I have to suffer the cost and hassle of it.

I stupidly created a PayPal account with a fake name years ago, I now have £300 trapped in that PayPal account until i can confirm my identity… which obviously I cannot do. Anyway around this or am I fooked?

I can't do the following:

Withdraw money from PayPal
Send money or payments
Pay using PayPal

Speak to the chat team in eBay they tend to sort things out.

To get there go via Help > How to handle return request as a seller

(have the Item ID in copy ready to paste)

Better than leaving it for a computer algorithm to decide
