Try get your money back as well as keeping the speaker. I’ve done it before when the buyer actually had damaged something When you receive it back, claim that there’s other damage done to the speaker which he didn’t mention and that he’s done it while in his possession
absolutely. photoshop an image of a different serial code on or something too

My fucking luck lately.. Sent a jacket to the states and got this message
Hello sir. I just received the jacket today. Thanks for the fast shipping. It has arrived earlier than I expected. But I would like to return the item because the condition of jacket is much more poor than I expected
lots of stains and wrinkles and scratches I can find. I am not sure if I can get the import change back but I will ask paypal about that. Could you send me your address? i will send the item as soon as I check it
I doubt it got the damage in transit most likely it doesn't fit and he wants to return. Anyone know
1) How to get it back without paying import duty?
2) Is it worth asking for pics prior to returning? Or would that inspire him to damage it to validate his return
I could offer him £50 to get it cleaned I guess
PS The other clown with the Sonos uploaded a fake tracking number to paypal. Im just gonna wait a week and then ask them to step in

Sold a working item in early December. Buyer emailed me to say it didn’t work and I responded saying it was working when sent and had they tried fresh batteries.
No response.
Just had a message two months in saying definitely not working and parcel damaged when received ( never mentioned before ).
If they try to return for refund am I just going to have to take it 2+ months on?

I think they’ve got 6 months to return it to you. I had it with a jacket I sold last year - it arrived fine, never heard anything.
3 months later I had a message out of the blue saying it was faulty (it wasn’t when I sent it) and they wanted to return it. I battled against it through PayPal but they ruled in the buyers favour so he returned it and got a refund.
Fortunately it was still in the same condition I sold it in, so I was able to sell it on again…
