Yeah nah you're right actually - it's 2-4 days after the buyer has paid.

I remember a couple of years ago eBay were sending me out a fair few ‘10% off everything’ offers (as in not just selected sellers - pretty much anything from business or private sellers).

Just wondering if anyone is still getting them or perhaps more likely eBay has stopped these kinds of offers?

I sold a Digital Audio Player a couple of weeks ago and the buyer has come back to me and mentioned that he is having an issue with charging it. He has not asked for a refund yet and has contacted the manufacturer’s support line,

I am happy to help him with warranty issues but not happy to refund, as he has been using it and he could have dropped it or something
Where would I stand with PayPal?

Not a leg to stand on if he claims it was broken when received

That’s it though, he said he was using it and it was fine.

Sold something two months ago to Germany. Not heard anything from the seller and updated the tracking as soon as shipped. It just arrived back after sitting in the depot there not picked up and tried to deliver a few times. It costs me £30 to post it so don’t want to be out of pocket to resend it. Have they lost the ability to make a claim on a full refund? Strange to have not heard a single word from them was 9 weeks ago.

I had that happen once. Messaged them and never heard anything back. Looked like they were still active on eBay (maybe check their recent feedback to see if yours is). I ended up keeping the thing and the £s (was only about £30). Felt a little bit bad, but it was very weird.

Do I have a leg to stand on?

I sold a CDG Play tee, clearly stated that it is tagged size M, but will fit a size S.

Buyer has now messaged me saying:

"can i get a refund for this item as the size sates medium however it is not. That is not the bad thing however this size is medium in chinese size meaning the itek is counterfeit which is against eBay's terms or service."

CDG play shirts you always size up:

If he is adamant on returning, can I just say no…

i'd probably risk arguing with him - even if just for the sport/winding him up. what is a CDG play tee worth? like £20 or something?

did you do an affordability check on his address?

Nah man, I'm clearing out before moving house so just let it go and sold the item for £10, which is below my affordability check threshold - I may now have to review my processes as a result.

£10 Laughing out loud worse than essexboy's ebay account. although see he is selling a selfie stick for £3.50 and a gold tie for £9.99 so maybe not quite

Lol in hindsight, I should've just put it in the charity pile; but thought it would cover postage for other items Roll Eyes

for sure - charity shop gets most of my "cheaper" items now… definitely something quite severely wrong with you if you're trying to flog a £750 hoodie as well as a £2 book

Sold a pair of vintage trainers on eBay - air max 1 safari to be precise. They sent it off to this Authenticator thing and have now refused them saying “ The shoe condition is showing more wear than what was represented in the listing images or description”

I thought it was to authenticate - not judge on condition - which is subjective anyway. I listed them as brand new - because they are - but the only fault would be air bubbles clouding - which is common and I pointed this out.

What a shit show ebay has become

That's a change for eBay, they don't uphold disputes on condition as like you say it's subjective

Does eBay give a refund before the buyer returns the item?!
