with a tracking number for royal mail specuial delivery, it doesnt show anything till its been delivered does it…geezers saying he wants the tracking number for some trainers cos he wasnt in when thye come and they didnt leave a card, so he can tell which post office they are at by the tracking number…is this correct or is he fannying.
I won an auction for a D200 and a lense last night. The guy lives about 15 minutes from my house. I want to go and collect the camera tomorrow night, but pay with paypal. He can't take the £25.00 postage off of the total cost. I've said that I'll pay the full amount (inc the postage costs) and that when I go to pick up the camera he can give the £25 cash meaning that I don't pay the postage.
Does this seem fair or will he think I'm trying some dodgy scam?

It's extremely dodgy for him as you can claim non-receipt and he's fucked. You should NEVER take paypal for items people are picking up.
However he's already agreed to you picking up and paying by paypal, so giving you £25 shouldn't ring any alarms bells that aren't already ringing. When I bought my D70 I did Paypal and then collected, did the deal but then wanred him why he was taking a risk and probably best not to do it in future.
