"When you’re shopping on eBay, look for items that are covered by PayPal Buyer Protection.

With it, you get free protection of up to £500.00 GBP on your purchases. To determine if your item is eligible, look for PayPal Buyer Protection in the Seller Information box on the View Item page. When your transaction isn’t covered by PayPal Buyer Protection, you may still be covered by our Buyer Complaint Policy."

The buyer complaint is the standard one that only gives the money if the seller still has it in their account.

Is this £500 'free' protection not just because the seller is sending via Royal Mail Special Delivery which incidentally insures you up to £500?

They are a legally binding contract mate, and once you have payed, he is legally bound to sell you the sweats. Your payment is the consideration that makes the contract binding., as such he's in breach of contract. Is he a US ebayer?

Asa above Best fuck all you can do except hope karma gets him.
Even if you did take him to court (which would be retarded) you still wouldn't win as you haven't lost anything. Just neg him and move on sadly.

Thought this might be the best place to ask, the limit before you incur import tax is £34 isn't it (including postage), i'm not going to get stung for a £20 item am I?
