finish my PhD (Pharmacology) in 6 months (fuck!) and therefore need to send feelers out for job opportunities etc. I really want to get into equity research (with a slant to healthcare/pharma/biotech). I have a few connections already, but I am aware it is super hard to get into that field (not many jobs etc), so would really appreciate some pointers on how I could work on my CV a bit to help me get my foot in the door somewhere - from someone already in the field/a similar field.
I have some backup opportunities including a post doc in the states, but staying in an academic setting longterm really isnt for me, and im not sure prolonging my university experience will do me huge favours in the long run

Razorlight, I work in compliance. Lots of Infosec type stuff on the radar for financial services clients at the mo. Although my main thing is AML / CTF
