yeah your right,I will have to put up with it for today and bring in head phones, he only installed the TV last week and its the 2nd time this week so i need something.

What gets me is all the other staff sucking up to him acting like they all are interested in horse racing all of a sudden and asking questions Laughing out loud

Just fuck off to the bookies for an hour and if he gets pissed off, tell him you thought it was alright to spend company time gambling.

I am going to need a new job Sad
My boss now sticks the TV on every day all day now, with sound up and we have a radio on aswell.
Its beyond funny Sad

I asked my line manager about working from home for a few days when needed to get really tricky work done where i can work without distraction, she thought it was a great idea and fully supported it as did the other programmer. When she put it to him he apparently said he would "think about it". This was last week !?

I do not thing there is anything I can do here is there? Lump it or move on. Sad

yeah they seem to be home set up's.. was wondering about work/office space…
its because i sometimes think i want a 9-5, but the prospect of working in an office environment depresses me… not that ive ever worked in an office really… so thats why im interested…

dont u work for skysports? you can have my office job if you want..

working in an office in my experience is so boring, i work for natwest and its all pointless huddles, pointless safety videos, pointless risk exercises.. the bureaucracy does my head in.

i work for a fair few companies but yeah sky is my bread and butter…
obviously sport happens in social hours which makes my job pretty unsocial at times…
i worked one summer during 2nd-3rd year for barclays offshore holdings on fleet street… i found it such a drag, the only good bit was looking at famous peoples accounts

ill set the ball rolling and post my desk up in a min.

yeah i work in graphics. i do use after effects but mostly broadcast standard graphic systems. the software/system that the ryder cup gfx is on is about 50k's worth of gear. but it works on the same principles as after effects, timelines/key krames, has real 3d space however. like i said this is my bread and butter, i do more exciting work for other broadcasters/federations etc.
