Does anyone know if I've missed the boat for this year on Olive Green Bedford jackets? Do they do a release in winter too?
And I am usually a large or an xl in certain cases, are they really that small fitting? Cos I tried on an XL of the penn shirt jacket about a year ago and it was massive. Cheers

Bedford is TTS this season.
If you look at US retailers, I'm sure you'll find a L or XL still available.
There's usually an olive Bedford every season but, obviously, the FW version will be of a thicker fabric than the SS version, and usually more expensive.

Look at Superdenim, Indigo and Cotton, Independence Chicago, Gentry NYC.

Ah cool, cheers! Good point on the material being better in the winter version. Think I'll wait for a new season of them as don't fancy ordering from america especially since I don't know if I need Large or XL. For £300 would rather have the thicker F/W material. Was tempted to just get one of those Workday ones but I prefer the general cut and also the neck of the Bedford.

Penn (and utility jackets) are a completely different cut from Bedfords, so wouldn't use that as a reference point.
I wouldn't say the winter fabrics are better either. Just thicker (and usually the sizing accommodates that)

they can place an order/have it shipped. might be a bit more tho, but not much, better buying straight from NEP then through retailers.

There really needs to be a Nepenthes London, such a gap in London for a store like that now.

relatively new member here poised ready for trolling accusations, but i have to say the quality on the new Andover batik jacket is terrible, the fit's are awful also….my mum, who has always had a good eye for clothing and style say's 'it wouldn't look out of place on the sale rail at primark', and the missus was in agreement…and women matter most imo…i have had aprox 6 jacket's by E.G, 2 befords, a khaki peacoat, a double breasted quilted raincoat, i forgot the name, just 2 currently, the work jacket in black wool, and a grey older Andover…which are both lovely, but i am not convinced by the current crop in terms of quality at all…

i thought someone would pick up on that, i hesitated, but wrote it anyway, so, you don't like your Mum Bennelli ? Vivienne westood is a mum..you know, you wouldn't have been able to enrich this thread with your reply, if it wasn't for your mum…

I like my mum but I generally don't take fashion advice from her, especially wouldn't if she knew what Primark's sale stock looked like.

figurine, the primark remark was an idea she had, i haven't been on the sun, but i know it's hot…
