in venice i stayed here, its very basic, you get a small cabin and thats about it. its full of young people and the atmosphere is really good, the bar after about 10pm is good fun. you are also very close to venice by water bus (10 euro a day return) or buy bus 1 euro then a short free train journey from the mestre station using your interail ticket

Bratislava

Bratislava was interesting, there really isn’t much to do there apart from drink, and this is the attitude of the locals. The old town is beautiful and has some fantastic old buildings while the new town was horrible it was full of hundreds of tower blocks and boring concrete buildings. The women are amazing, you don’t see any units, and the majority of girls are beautiful. The beer was cheaper than Prague with a pint costing about 30p, we went to a bar on the first night which was ok then to a really good club in the old town, we got back at 5am and I am 99% sure we caught the night porter wanking which was funny.

They have tescos here which was really strange to look around, we had a nightmare finding still water which doesn’t seem to exist anywhere. Everything was so cheap you could live like a king for the rest of you life on a grand. For the two days including 2 meals a day and a night out it cost us £25 which is incredible.

On all the trains they had bottle openers on the table legs

Budapest

Budapest was a bit more civilised than Bratislava, the city was beautiful and there was loads to do. The city is made up of two towns called Buda and Pest which I never knew before. Again not a unit in sight and there were plenty of beautiful women. We stayed in a very strange hostel which was right opposite the opera house, it was run by 3 young people and it was a bit of a doss, again it was a really good atmosphere and was full of young people up for a laugh.

We spent most of out time looking around museums and castles, although it sounds boring it was fascinating and I will go back again when I am older. On our last day we had a huge lunch and then messed around a park all afternoon which was fantastic as it was really good to just relax in the sun.

Vienna

Vienna was incredible, it was one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to. The city was full of amazing buildings and really interesting sites. We stayed in a great brand new hostel which was very cheap. The shopping was very good and really enjoyed looking around. They had loads of fantastic jewellery stores with some great watches, next on my hit list is a Rolex Prince, vintage not the reissue.

Unfortunately we only stayed a night as we took a 14 hours night train to Venice. The train journey was horrendous, I felt like crying the majority of the time. A school trip was on our carriage and they were up most of the night screaming and shouting, there were also loads of rowdy Americans which made the journey unbearable. If you ever managed to fall asleep a ticket inspector would come and wake you up after ever stop which was ridiculous.

Venice

Venice was fantastic, I really was impressed by the city. We stayed in a really cool campsite which was very close to the city by water bus. The campsite had a really good atmosphere and the nightlife was good, I did however get ravaged by mosquitoes which wasn’t fun.

We ate some fantastic (but overpriced) food in Venice which I spent most of my budget on. We spent most of the time walking around the city walking down random streets which was a great way to take in the city.

Milan

Milan was crap, the shopping wasn’t very good (in comparison to London and Paris) and everything was overpriced. We looked around the Duomo and various other sights all of which we good although we weren’t able to see the ‘Last supper’ as there was a 2 month waiting list for viewings! The Gucci store had its own café which was very cool, everything down to the napkins was branded, it may have been OTT and tacky but there was something so stylish about it

I went to slamjam which was incredible, they stocked some great brands and the actual design of the store was superb. I also stumbled across stussy who stocked Visvim which was a bit strange, I was very tempted by some FBT’s but the girlfriend restrained me.

Florence

I studied history of art at a-level (got a B) and our course was focused on Florentine art so it was great to see everything which I had studied. Our hotel room was huge, and was in a old manor which was very beautiful.

I dragged the girlfriend around the majority of the sights and museums till which was good fun, we saw David, Rape of the Sabine etc.
We watched the sunset from a bridge which was beautiful. Amusingly a couple near us had a huge argument and she really laid into him, slapping, punching, kicking and spitting at him, they both got arrested which was funny to watch.

Pisa

Pisa was very small, and once you had seen the tower that was it! We checked out the tower, took the obligatory ‘pushing the tower over shot’ and left, we stayed in a great hostel very close to everything. It also had a pool so we just relaxed in the sun for a couple of days

Rome

Rome was the last stop, it was a shame that everything was over and that a month had gone so quickly. My father and sister surprised us by coming out to see us which was nice, especially as we checked into a 5-star hotel which was a bit of a comparison to crappy hostels. We checked out all of the sites, and had some fantastic meals, I also got drunk with my dad and sister which was strange.

After they left we had another 3 days in Rome, we found a great hostel with a pool and just relaxed for a couple of days in the sun before flying home.

You miss out on all the landmarks.

You go to the night clubs in Italy Best? Wanted to go to Paolo Maldini's club in Milan but it was jammed packed.
