Wasn't sure where to put these - not the best photos, but it was wild in Edinburgh today.

Got completely soaked when a wave came right over me and had to go home and change. It instantly filled my pockets with stones and bits of driftwood Laughing out loud

Anyone have any idea why I can't seem to take a decent shot with my 400d? Even in decent light and the ISO cranked to 1600 it's still hesitant to focus and seems to give me an exposure time of at least a second if not more.

Is the lens surface clean? Front and back.

What mode are you shooting in?

Yeah the lens is pretty clean. I usually shoot in either Program or Aperture priority, I know I could use Tv but it usually does the 'aperture can't go wide enough' rejection thingy.

I'm starting to think the kit lens is just shit, but I don't remember it being like this. Really need to find the money for the 17-55 f2.8 Cry

i've built up a steady collection of good cameras film slrs, medium format, p&s but still always just reach for the yashica t4. so easy to just pick it up and chuck it in a bag without having to take enormous care of it.
