cool, im looking to use it predominatly for taking portraits of people how are the settings to get used to etc menus im a bit of a twat with technical items rubbish at reading manuals, are the automatic settings good.
im gonna get a 50mm1.4 canon pro range lense also, hoping my friend in singa will come up trumps with a cheap deal

I've found the settings very easy to get used to as they're basically the same as the 35mm Canon SLR I was using before (EOS 500N). the menu system is pretty straightforward too. it comes with a wee quick start leaflet which was all I needed to get started, then you can just dip into the full manual if you get stuck anywhere

the auto setting is ok but I've been using the camera in bad and changeable light conditions so have mainly been using it on custom setting

will have a look and see what portrait shots I've taken so far and PM you later
