S100 is £205 on digitalrev - seems like a very good price so I'll go with that.

Waiting for the decent wether tomorrow to get some classic landscape shots in central london on B&W film. Sure to be an educational experience. Sad

Picked up the Nikon F5 for £149.99 which is nuts, also a 35mm f/2 and 50mm f/1.4 prime on ebay for under £150 each.

All bargains.

Great bargains. Was looking at something similar for a film set up but the size is a bit too much for me.

I shoot a OMD EM5 so want something smaller. Might get a Yashica t5 or something similar.

War Photographer, The James nachtway one? Its freaking amazing! I spent the summer in Kabul last year with a conflict photographer, Jake simkin, who knows him. Did some stuff with Vice there to, and following my friend and the Vicephotographer on Facebook really makes me wanna go for it. Jake just got back from Somalia and sudan, and is heading to syria now. Makes my life looking boring sometimes Laughing out loud

Fairplay I have a friend whose about 30 and is a pathfinder in the RAF, he's a sniper and has done 7 tours of Afghanistan, I'm sure you know but the military guys consider people who don't need to be there mad! Personally I disagree, journalists in my estimation occupy very high moral ground.

And its not that mad, i have a bunch of friends whos civilian and lives there, they dont live in compounds and they live quite a normal life, doing important charitywork over there. Well not normal in the sense, but normal as it gets down there.

Read back what I posted Jayboy and you'll see we are not at odds, quite the opposite. I was merely pointing out the opinion of the typical British special forces soldier of which I'm friends with a few.
