…don't really get the hate against that beckham guy. Just look at every art school worldwide, the kids may look 'alternative' but 80%?! come from a 'wealthy' family. For the moment that beckham guy is just a kid, maybe he'll get better with time. He has the resources so it's up to him to make sth out of it.
General Discussion: everyone's a fucking photographer

Wife got me strap like this for my X3 (although the one she got is a bit nicer).
Looks decent and surprisingly comfy

Just downloaded a couple of my images from Photobox and they were the same resolution as the originals (one was 72dpi, one was 300dpi) and the same overall dimensions.
There's some compression going on as they were a bit smaller in file sizes (455KB new vs 789KB original and 709KB vs 1.1MB).
Both images were sharp when printed.
Have you edited the image on the phone? Sometimes when I do that it seems to make the image much smaller. Maybe AirDrop it to yourself on your laptop and check its dimensions.

i have a nikon 1 j2 that i bought a while ago. just tried to use it for the first time in about a year and the screen display works, and i can see pictures i've previously taken, however when trying to use the camera the screen just shows as black (i can see all the icons etc).
any ideas or is it fucked? looking at ebay its not worth a whole lot, so doubt a repair will even be worth it?

"Do you by any chance have the 10-30 mm VR standard zoom lens (the original, manual zoom one with the button to extend and retract it, supplied as standard on the J1 and J2) fitted when having this problem? There's an effective recall on all units of this lens which will give you a free repair - apparently a design fault means that problems with the lens develop during use, particularly when zooming. Sounds like it could be your problem - take a look at your local Nikon company web pages for details of the product advisory notice."
Is it's the 10-30mm lens then Nikon will repair for free, this thread suggests it's quite widespread:

For a cheaper option try https://www.analoguefilms.co.uk/ or https://www.rapideye.uk.com/
all in Shoreditch/East
I recommend doing the scanning yourself. Will save loads of money in the long run. Usually I just get develop and low res scans for a quick reference sent via a wetransfer link..then scan the negs myself
