It was the only outcome, this is exactly what ecclestone wanted - the playing field has been leveled and there is even more competition, gone are the days of schumacher dominance. It would be interesting to see what the outcome would be in mclarean was involved.
This weekends china race should be really interesting especially as the teams have had two weeks to work on the cars - a big race is needed from the big two
really good guide to all this seasons tracks

practice means very little unless you know what weight, tyres etc the teams were running. they'll be trying setups for different eventualities in the race.

good odds on Button winning this weekend. Can he do it for the 3rd time though?

I agree, you can't read too much into practice sessions, even though 1.262 seconds lap time difference is huge in formula 1. Button FTW

How long is it before all teams follow Brawn with the split level diffuser? Is it something that can modify the existing design (i.e. 3 or 4 races), or does it require full overhaul (i.e. next season)?

big teams will have it by the next race, smaller teams should have it in two races
its alot of work but some of the teams have 1000+ workforces, race tracks, wind tunnels etc so a bit of new carbon at the back isn't that hard to do….

If this split level diffuser is making the difference they say it is all teams will implement it asap.
Larger budget teams will be able to do this quickly in 3 - 4 races but some teams won't be able to. I think that it was the Williams that will need the whole back of the car re-designed due to the suspension set-up not enabling room for the diffuser. In there case it will probably be 75% through the season before they get it.
I reckon nearly every team will have a new diffuser by season end.

Pretty dull race for me today, first one of the season but never really liked the track. Do you think Hamilton will be challenging for wins in Europe?

Hamilton challenging for wins depends on Mercedes still being in the sport. A large penalty for the lie saga may rule them out of the season. Also Mercedes have said if the penalty is unreasonable they may withdraw from the sport all together.

What has happened to BMW as well, considering they have spent so much time developing this car they are shite.

McLaren given a suspended ban

This season is going to start picking up now. It's going to get blown wide open if mclaren can field an even quicker car. Hamilton's driving has been wizard, and i reckon he can catch brawn.

starting to pick up? Its been one of the most interesting starts to the season ever

slicks, KERS, the rise of brawn red bull and toyota, lewis's hairline, the worst ever ferrari start, crashes galore, liargate, jenson's dads outfits
what more do you want?
Brawn don't have the budget or infrastructure to stay competitive, the might of Ferrari and Mclaren will soon show - Hamiliton has had some unbelievable results in 'the worst car i have ever driven'
my odds above of 50:1 for button to win this season still stand….
