latest:

he had a brain concussion, damage to the skull bone and serious damage to the left eye, surgery took place at 5PM hungarian time and in the last 20 minutes, surgery was finished and declared a success

though Massa could very well be out for the rest of the season to fully recover.

condition now described as "life threatening but stable"

words cant describe how gutted i am…the lad will be lucky to even walk again by the looks of things, let alone drive a race car. he has a kid on the way too…Sad

Love twitter for updates from the main man

Wow.. not quite what we expected. Struggled with rear graining which is unusual for us. At least Webber didn't win, 2 points better than 0

Would be good to see him race against the younger guys who have taken over. However I can't see it happening as there would be so much hype and media attention around his return, it would be disrespectful.

I reckon he (schumi) has still got it. Would only be disrespectful if he was totally shit.

agreed but alots changed since schumy retired, not only the cars but the teams have hugely changed in their structure, also there is no ross brawn to help, it would take a while for him to adapt - granted it would turn this season into the ultimate soap opera, its been incredible.

Alonso will definitely be off to ferrari this season

BMW have been shit, i don't reckon they'll be missed as they haven't added much to the sport, toyota to be next

i'm excited. course he's still got it, its not like he left ferrari or anything, and you can't convince me than somebody driving formula 1 cars for however many years wouldn't still do it anyway behind the scenes if they were employed by the team.

It's going to be good seeing Schumi and Hamilton racing now that the McLaren seems to have regained it's speed. Surprised that he's coming back but pleased as I think this is going to be good viewing.
