misled wrote: nurse friend up here (Glasgow) saying most of the people in ICU with Covid haven't been vaccinated. One patients last words were "don't put Covid on my death certificate". Guy my brother in law works with is in a coma-no vaccination. My cousin-in-law had to get paramedics out twice because he couldn't breath-no vaccination. Circumstantial and all that but fuck putting myself in that situation and fuck being a drain on the NHS. I may still catch it but double vaccinated gives me a better chance of surviving it.

Sis is a nurse and its been a nightmare, people not believing in facts and science nowadays. Fucking crazy.

It's much less transmissible when vaccinated as the recovery time is much quicker as symptoms are greatly reduced. Hence hospital admissions being much lower this time around than when alpha variant kicked off.

RickRude wrote: So are children anti vaxxers too?

They are mostly asymptomatic carriers, recover quickly and onward transmission is reduced by this. Who on earth would label a child an anti vaxxer anyway? Laughing out loud

Laughing out loud

Needed to be double vaccinated or show a negative test to get in. Sorry for having a life and doing my best not to be an unvaccinated super spreader at a mass gathering of people.

I’m not keen on the idea of mandatory vaccines (let people make their own decisions) but I’m all for using vaccine passports to keep the wooks/divs away from certain establishments and myself. would be great to be able to go to bars/cafes knowing that everyone in there had some sort of basal neurological function/intelligence

mad isn’t it - where did it all go wrong? when did people start taking medical advice from Facebook? when did WhatsApp become the NEJM? truly baffles me how fickle people can be

Yeah, the icing on the cake was people regularly giving my sister medical advice from Facebook. How she's wrong and they're right. At the end of the day I don't want people to get ill, but if they want to catch it just let them. It sucks because I know the strain its placed for the NHS but its almost cult-like behaviour.

The anti-vaxxers didn't flinch in London yesterday when a speaker likened NHS nurses and doctors to Nazis that stood trial in Nuremberg. Sick fuckers.

It's us Versus them now. Take their rights away!

^ yep. Had it at noon last Weds and felt fine until around 11:30 at night after which I felt notably tired. Woke up from some feverish dream around 4AM, properly burning up. Felt absolutely fucked that day but 24 hours later it was like it never happened. Completely back to normal.

No it’s not the same.

I don’t care what you do with your body and what you put into it. But you seem to care a little too much about what I put into mine.

‘Us versus them’ is the tactic that is always used before one side is stripped of its rights.

Everything that has been done has been against the Geneva convention. Medical coercion is STILL illegal.

Weird how no one is critical of Smith’s crazy ramblings.

“Us” versus “them” - wow
