Social distance shaming on social media is cracking me up.

^the market in Victoria Park has about 8 hot food stalls and the rest is stalls selling produce.

stalls selling fresh produce. People are shaming people for going to a food market.
What the fuck is a superMARKET?

Laughing out loud

Yeah that’s stupid.
But that’s tower hamlets fault for not closing it down for not being an essential business.

The problem is the social aspect. That food area of Victoria park is a nice place to hang out on a Sunday and it was packed. Going to Tesco is not the same thing although the deli is pretty sick tbf Cool

This is bollocks, the market there is almost entirely a recreational and social thing. It's nearly all handmade fudge and artisanal scotch eggs.

We should have been in full lockdown 2 weeks ago but people with half a brain already have been. We’re fucked now, so many mongs out there Roll Eyes

I've said from the beginning boris is willing to sacrifice lives for the economy and he has done F all since outbreak was declared in late december, early jan. Govt had time to obtain enough test kits and protective equipment for healthcare staff etc, but they did nothing.

However the other edge of the sword is that there is no vaccine and likely wont be for over a year yet, you can't leave a country on lockdown for a year. As soon as you take a population off lockdown and they start socialising again you will have another surge in infected.

Realistically all we can do is aim for a steady number of people to get infected, numbers remaining under the capacity of the NHS, unless by some miracle this disappears like SARs did, however sars was massively less infectious and when people were most infectious they were generally so ill they were bed bound. The opposite seems to be true for coronavirus, you can be spreading for up to 2 weeks before you even show symptoms.

They haven't spent anything on social media at all, or done any ads on social media to inform people. Even though FB gave them the space for free.

This is despite it being their cornerstone strategy both during and off elections. Especially for their older voting base.

Does anyone here still have faith in them?
