Any plumbers/sparks on here? What's your stance on the new guidelines? Obviously we can't work from home, but I don't feel comfortable going into others' houses unless for an emergency.

Literally discussing this with a few mates in the trade.
I had 8 cancellations last week, which is fair enough due to the circumstances.
I’ve been working with a mask and gloves, with customers sitting in different rooms to which I’ve been working.

I’ve got jobs booked in this week, none of which I’d say is urgent. Might just take the 3 weeks on the chin and see how it goes, would rather not put myself or others at risk.

Waiting to see what a couple of companies I sub out to say about this tomorrow morning.
I also install fire alarm systems in larger buildings, which is arguably essential works and some of which needs to be finished off as soon as really.

From herd immunity to complete lockdown in 10 days, such a waste of time, Boris is a joke.

And looking at pics\videos of this past weekend, considering he already changed his mind, and given the weather should have closed everything by Friday…

Will stop that as well, we're already there…

Everyone started jogging to have an excuse to go out, even those who wouldn't walk 50mt before. Same for dog walking, dogs taken out 20 times a day.
Now you can only walk the dog at max 200mt from home, same for running\training, which is basically forbidden

Mrs is a social worker, being told days are going up from 9 hours to 12 hours and they have to take some pressure off health by visiting vulnerable people, offering personal care and everything else. Then she is to return home and work from home to write up notes etc.

Whole things fucked

think this is just an amendment that was proposed but didn't get passed - the actual bill itself doesn't contain this section as far as I can see?
