Yeah, the point I was trying to make earlier is that there are different levels of protection (surgical mask vs N95 respirator), and to protect against Covid-19 you need to have an N-95 that fits properly. A poorly fitted N95 and a surgical mask can help protect against fluid droplets from coming into contact from you, however with Covid-19's ability to remain suspended in air for up to 3 hours, they will not protect you as the virus particles will pass through the sides of the surgical mask and any place where the poorly fitted N-95 lacks a tight seal with your face.

So the media reports saying masks do not protect you against the virus are half wrong and half right.

N-95's come in all shapes and sizes. In order to have all of the protection they can offer, you need to go through a fit testing. If that's not possible do your best to read reviews, try one on if you can, but get the size/shape that gives you the tightest seal.

Safety is my number one priority. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Cool post Flasket, all fact rather than confusion and hearsay.

Here in Australia we learnt how to fit N95s out of necessity this summer, smoke suspends in air too. Too bad I don't have any left

Flasket, what are we doing about opening up parcels? Need to leave them out for a couple days before?

Did ya see the bit about no evictions or late fees for rent in MN? Would that mean if I don't pay rent this month those fuckers won't do anything?

It’s exactly this air thing that makes me wonder why they are saying facemasks won’t help. Also explains how rapid it it.

Someone coughing, you picking up the spit somehow and it entering into your system….it’s got to be rarer than the volumes we are seeing for this. It being in the air would make far more sense…even diluted…and as a result masks would have to help in some way.

Im sure people purchased masks and then havnt used them cause of the governments reporting they do no good

We’ve known about the outbreak since January. There’s still no access to testing here. Thousands of people infected, all non essential business closed and we’re headed straight to a huge recession. The government have failed completely. Again. Whole thing pisses me the fuck off. I hope this is the end of government as we know it and technocrats take over the world. This flu pandemic has exposed significant gaps in how developed countries are run. We pay NI and Tax for a reason and the governments failure to prepare for this is costing lives and trillions of dollars.

ain't got a scooby as to what to do about parcels.
if you don't pay, they can't evict you, but they'll tack it on the next month's rent and so on. probably add interest on it too : (

I should add, if you think you may have the virus, wearing a surgical mask while around others/in public will prevent you from spreading it.

I can't see how economically this is a sustainable situation - in a fortnight we'll be inching towards a Great Depression style situation if they don't ease things up. But then the balance between that and not having all of the golden generation die is a tough call to have to make. Good thing Doris is so supremely qualified.
