I share your opinion - it’s a shambles. I’m not a Tory either so unsure why my opinion is wanted.

Was always going to be England being the biggest fuck up wasn’t it. The laughing stock of Europe.

I’m actually embarrassed I live in this country. If I had the money I’d fuck off back to my homeland in a second.

Just cause on here you've been a pretty clear brexit supporter (I'm not a remainer by any stretch fwiw) and I've seen a few brexiters say that this whole issue is blown up by the press as a way to stop brexit etc. Just wanted to see if there was an opposing view!

I was not a clear Brexit supporter - I just used this place to discuss the out viewpoint. Pretty sure I remember you being unsure albeit for a niche reason swinging your mind.

Not sure this issue is being used to prolong Brexit.

Better off asking Swede - he has the ultimate say on anything Brexit related.

No they're not saying it's prolonging it - people who are pro brexit I've seen are defending Dominic Cummings because they think it's all a big stitch up by the 'remainer press', him being the architect of vote leave and all.

Was just wondering if anyone had that view on here. Unfortunately some of my friends and family do Laughing out loud

Taking a step back from everything and with perspective now..listen to my story.

At first I was like well the governments of the world wouldn't willingly destroy their economies unless there was hard intell that this could be bad, really bad. This thing is real, we have to fight it.

Then the lockdowns happened. NZ went hard in my neighborhood. 4 weeks of hard isolation, no takeaway food or delivery, supermarkets and REALLY essential workers only. Construction sites locked down. Borders closed hard. Result: A handful of cases and a handful of deaths.

Here in Aus we went much less hard, tradies and construction workers went to work as normal. We could still do pickup and takeaway from restaurants. Basically if you wanted to go to work like me you could, just keep a distance from fellow workers. I'm not essential or special, I'm just a drone but nothing changed for me, I went to work as normal, actually picked up extra shifts from those too scared to go to work by the messaging. Australian border force also fucked up early on and let in a cruise ship full of Covid carriers. Result: A handful of cases and a handful of deaths, per capita we ended up exactly the same as NZ.

So then I hear reports that a lot of people overseas are dying WITH covid, not from it, and woulda died anyway. A Stanford professor said if we did nothing then this would be nothing more than a bad flu year and still not worse than 2001 was. He said an NBA game would have gotten more coverage than Covid had the reaction of governments been normal. I find out 2001 still had more overall flu related deaths by far than this year worldwide and I didn't even hear about it.

So I was a COVID believer but now I'm like the Western World has totally been taken for a ride by the WHO and misinformation supplied by them hyping this up.

You ask what is different now to 2001? Social media? Internet? Nope. Funding to the WHO, before they were reliant on the US for funding and had no reason to hurt it. In 2020 you have an irrepressable force in the form of Trump, greatest US economy in 30 years, facing off against China and causing them headaches. Trump generally despised by the likes of unelected autocrats that run organisations like the WHO..so you have a situation. A global conspiracy? They have thrown everything they can at Trump and nothing sticks, if they destroy his miracle economy we have a chance of voting him out in 2020?..China would like that, the leftists who run WHO would like that..

THINK about it. It's less crazy than a global pandemic actually being as big a threat as this is purported to be..

Also how did ‘they’ no it would affect America so badly ? Many countries have suffered. Or did ‘they’ know how stupid Americans are so it would allow it to spread and affect them more ???
