Also the most nonexistent security I've ever seen at a festival. No bag checks or anything

Bestival sounds good, always wanted to go.

Anyone go to Dekmantal this year? if so how was it? Thinking of heading there next year.

Yeah Bestival was great. First time but had a blast. Highlights were Future Islands, FKA, Shura, lapsley, tame impala obvs, Hudson Mohawke. Though the headliners were all pretty poor. Chems were decent but thought sound could have been better and we weren't that far back. Missy Elliot was beyond a joke. Only thing was late night activities after 4-5 weren't amazing compared to say Glasto.

Where did you guys camp? We were in red area. Had a guy overdose on Ket just next to us and spas out- wasn't too pleasant actually but the whole group were those proper knobby uni student types who just talked about drugs all the time.

Security was pretty lax but a friend got caught with pills by a full search. Let him
Keep them so god knows what they were looking for tbh.

It quietened down in there quite quickly, stood outside the tent under our umbrella for the first hour or so and by the time we got in were so wet we didn't feel the heat really.

Saw about 10 minutes of Skrillex when taking a piss, was absolutely horrendous, Annie Mac was laughable on the Saturday, they only seem to have decent headliners at the Port on Friday really. Kaleidoscope actually had some good 90s balearic DJs on at night, good addition to the festival.

Security has loosened up a lot this year, could never take drinks into the arena before, didn't realise until Saturday!

Used to camp in the old Blue quiet campsite, went in Black this year was actually quieter, tons of space too. Stay the fuck out of Red and Green!

Sound was fine for us at Chems/Duran but we were right in front of the speaker stack, best to approach from Temple Island way and you can go right up the left side of the stage to the front. Arrived late for Missy and it was fucking bollocks though.

Fantastic, the line-up was eclectic and the timetable made sure the missing out was minimal.. Everything was very open and the soundsystems excellent, good (albeit expensive) food too.

Funnily enough I got busted with some K and a pill in my wallet from the night before when we went out to a pub 5mins away from the port area. They just confiscated it so no big deal as we had loads.

White camp site which was also very chilled. 100% going next year Cool

What a horrendous clusterfuck the Glasto site is. Only got to the holding page once.

I'm convinced LCD soundsystem will headline the Other Stage at Glastonbury. Here's hoping.

I have never been myself, but I think it's right by the airport.

Festival in park until midnight and then it moves to official or unofficial after parties dotted around the city
