Don't know whether i'd want to get onto public transfer after a big session. When we went some people had to queue for ~2hours to catch a bus back to the centre of Amsterdam. I'd do 3days post dek in an airbnb in dam.Sounds mad decent, and thanks for the decent tips.
I camped two years a go and it was really decent. About a 20min walk back to the camp site, which is situated on like a mini-island surrounded by a moat in the middle of a forest. Big supermarket only 15 mins walk away too, really decent crowd. All the on-site cabins are on the same site as the camping so there's usually some decent after parties going on, plus the bar closes at ~2am compared to the festival that closes at 12. Only those that have camping wristbands can come onto the little island so it gets a good vibe to it.

Looking at a couple airport hotels they look within taxi ride of the site. Anyone going for a second time this year? Cheers for the advice. Did you guys do the night events as well or just stick to the day?
Night events are too far away from the festival site (45-60 minutes + waiting times on bus which can go up to multiple hours) and weren't that good last year tbh, probably because the location was less than ideal. Could be interesting depending on the venue. Going for third time this year.

Stayed in an apartment off airbnb last year. It wasn't too bad getting back even though we had to get a bus then tram through the city centre to the other side of the city.
That way you go through the city centre everyday and youre more inclined to just chilled there for one or two beforehand.

Saw Joy O etc at trouw, was so good. Also saw Move D in some hotel penthouse place, but it was fucking shit; was like a sweatbox, had to leave after like 30 mins. Would want to see whether they're gonna hold any of the after parties in De School, the new place that's the predecessor of trouw. That's the only real one i'd go to.
Plus, as toin said, the travel situation to get there was a bit shit.

just bought my dekmantel tickets, didn't go last year but it was sublime the year before. Thought the line up wasn't the best last year, but they have nailed it his time. Sex Tags crew
Did they manage to sort the transport issue from the festival to the night parties? Was absolutely fucked before. If you are going to be commuting to and from the festival I would recommend cycling, its a great ride down in the day, and a messy one when the festival ends
The last time I went I lived there, so didn't need to sort accommodation. Looking at airbnb this year, blackham's mention of camping is tempting though, imagine its a great vibe there. My experience of camping is mostly from bate scatty festivals so wouldn't typically look at it..

So glad I didn't get Glasto tickets this year. Going back to number 6 I think, what is everyone doing?
