In this heat, they would have to pay me money to go in there… Smiling

Tried 'tapas bravas' in St Kats Dock Went with low expectations given the touristy area but had some of the best tapas I've had in London. Morcilla sliders, moorish lamb chops, gazpacho and pork belly all sublime. 100% recommend.

Heading to Bath next weekend, anywhere I should check out?

Bars near the station as well? Got an hour or so to kill when I arrive.

Off to london in a few days.

Anywhere not too expensive?

Main problem the girlfriend is vegetarian and I'm a huge meat eater (no homo)

Any recommendations? Maybe chinese?

Indian or Thai is a good choice for veggies. Check out Monkey and Me in Marylebone.

Mildred's in soho is a nice vegetarian restaurant. Also Rasa by Hanover square is quality, it's South Indian cuisine so loads of veggie dishes and not stupid price.

Forgot to say that Indian and Thai is normally good for veggies AND meat lovers alike. I'm veggie, but all my mates aren't and we normally settle for one of these two (or mexican for a quick bite).

went to the gherkin the other day.

the restaurant is one floor below the top and pretty good, food was good, nothing mind blowing though. Atmosphere was great though, a lot of space, waitress was good and didnt bother us much. cost £150 for two and had few cocktails each.

Went to that we feast thing last night - really good amount of food (about 30 stands) but prices the same price as anywhere else even though you've paid £10 in…
Bars were manned by idiots, didn't order one round without something being wrong.
Street Feast's Model Market thing is better value and has a better vibe.

£5 beers, £8 Hangar Steak from Chop Shop, £6 Nduja Pizza from Dough Bros.

Went to Red Dog Saloon South - portions are stupidly big, had the Pit Master sandwich which was great. Probably need to book at busy times but they take bookings rather than make you wait. Only gripe was we were sat outside and they took a card as a deposit in case me and the gf did a runner Laughing out loud apparently happened a couple of times recently…

In London for the first week in Septemember and looking for some recommendations. Got to be central and somewhere that can be booked. Not really fussed on cuisine. Already taken a look at the last few pages of this thread and got some good ideas, but thought I'd ask.
