The UK’s first cereal cafe selling more than 100 varieties from all over the world is due to open in Brick Lane, Shoreditch, in December.

Cereal Killer Cafe, owned by identical twins Alan and Gary Keery will also host a huge collection of memorabilia, made up of 80 vintage boxes including, Pokémon, Bill and Ted, The Addams family, and Cabbage Patch Kids.

Visitors will be able to concoct the perfect grainy cocktail by customising their bowls with 13 different kinds of milk and 20 different toppings.

The brothers promise they’ll be serving some of the ‘most exciting cereal from around the world’, like Oreo O’s from South Korea and Poppin’ Fruity Pebbles from America - a berry flavoured mix with popping candy.

Alan says: ‘We remember how exciting cereal was as kids and we are trying to recreate it in our cafe, so you’ll be surrounded by a lot of vintage cereal memorabilia to stir up the nostalgia in all of us. We’re putting our own twist on a regular bowl of cereal by letting you customise it with different milks and toppings. This will be a cafe experience like no other.”

For fans of other types of breakfast goodies, there will also be 18 flavours of pop tarts, toast, and coffee from Allpress coffee on Redchruch Street.

The café, which will be at 139 Brick Lane, Shoreditch, will be spread over two floors decorated with cereal history from money boxes to skateboards, and bike reflectors to milk bottles.

It will be open 7am to 8pm from December 10.

Try the Mondrians restaurant? I've heard the bar is meant to be good there, it's next on my list of places to go…

Not been since Jeremy Lee moved on. it's nice but definitely not a hype restaurant. Hired it for my day wedding reception a few years back CSB.

Your hotel is ideally located to hop in a taxi over the river & then the worlds your lobster mate.

@ InWonderland: Seacrate's container's is Mondrian's restaurant, it says it's full online but I suspect I'd be able to in.

@pops every where I've checked is booked up at reasonable times, I know it's late in the day, but it's my birthday tomorrow so would like to get something booked, as apposed to wondering around looking for something

Just an update I ended up eating in the Mondrian's restaurant sea containers.
I had the Yuzu Ceviche from the raw menu and the Mrs had the lamb meat balls to start.
Mine was nice but a bit too lemony, the wife's was good! Main we shared the dry aged bone in rib eye, which was superb and apple pie with cider ice cream for desert which was also good.
The bar was great too did at least 7 old fashioned's amongst other things Smiling
Service was good / friendly I'd recommend it
