Went Hotbox last night on commercial St, were doing a soft opening so all food half price until official opening tomorrow. FYI anyone wanting to go tonight, we didn't book we just turned up.
Meat selection thing is what i had, all that meat for £11 Cool bill with a few drinks came to £60, so at full price of £120 it's quite an expensive bbq gaff imo

Surly drinks are full price though, so probably wouldn't be 120!
All that meat for 22 doesn't seem bad

Always find that listing the best listing they do, the "best restaurant" listings are always sketchy.

Evers, when curry houses came to the UK did people react like they are with this influx of US / BBQ food? Latest trend, people saying it wont last etc?

Will we end up with the rib and burger places joining the pantheon of high street food options like Chinese, curry, italian have?

Laughing out loud
curry houses were before my time.

it was thai in the late 80's that was new.

only time will tell I guess but there is a general movement to informal dining/street food which is great as it means all types of stuff (Korean, bbq, Peruvian, Mexican etc) are now well supported and often good quality

Slight wind up comment from me, fair play for not rising to it.

I can envisage half these places going bust or jumping on the next bandwagon.

Why does every restaurant in Britain seem to need to use those white and blue trim sets just now!? Looks proper shit.

It looks shit. I don't care if my great grandfather drank stew in it during WWII. They wasn't around this time last year, seemed to have exploded the last 6 months.
