Second Shack Fuyu. Love it. No seat hassle either. The new (Covent Garden) On the Bab is good too, which has baos without the qs.

Yep still have to queue, friend went last week and took him an hour and half to get in Laughing out loud

I seem to remember though if your group contains 8 people (I think) you can book a table at Dishoom?

This. Breakfast club is the worst, hipsters round the block for bacon, crazy. Burger Lobster do it right, they are always rammed, but will take your number and you can go for a beer and they call you. I guess the hype queue helps the sales.

I find the Kings X Dishoom usually pretty quick to get in - or have a vat of Kingfisher downstairs and they'll come and find you

Yup. Or get there just before five (they open at 5:30pm) and you should be seated within 40 minutes. The day I went was a Saturday evening, I got there at 5pm and only had to wait 40 minutes.

I think by most peoples' standards that's still a pisstake of a wait for a restaurant if you have to stand there in line.

Burger Lobster system is fine tbh, Flat Iron do the same

Yeah they could do with operating a waiting list (name and number) like Burger and Lobster. It would certainly appease the people at Aurora, who were constantly annoyed at people in the queue blocking the entrance to their restaurant Laughing out loud

Managed to get a booking at Noma in September. Remember rira/jason went? Any difference between lunch and dinner menu? Seem like there is only one but previous reviews seem to say otherwise. Going at 12.30pm. Booking opened at 9am UK time of September. Was 655 in the queue when opened but managed to get a slot the weekend were there.

Is it not just a standard tasting menu that they offer? How much is that likely to set you back?

Same taster menu lunch and dinner. They only change the menu on a weekly/monthly/seasonal basis.

Good call going at lunch, the service is quite lengthily, we were seated for 3 hours. Nowhere near as long as The Fat Duck though, that was 4.5 hours!

Went to shackfu on Friday. Wait was about 40min, bar was packed but was down there within 10mins. Food was excellent, work out about £17 per head with no drink. Korean fried chicken, aubergine and popped rice were all standouts. But all very good to be honest
