all the Polpo restaurants are overpriced and a bit underwhelming imo
Having said that went to Oldroyd the other day (opened by the old chef director of the Polpos) and was impressed, good value and good food

Bob Bob is really good, it's not high end gourmet but the service and food are great. Perfect place to take a bird, it's got a great ambiance and tables are spaced out really well.

I had the lobster burger and it was awesome.

Just looked at the menu, looks good. but are those £15 dishes 'small plates' or proper food?

Didn't eat any of the £14/5 plates but given that one's supposedly a whole monkfish I'd assume they're pretty big

Did Bao again, but alas they didn't have the Fried Horlicks Ice Cream Bao Evil

Deciding between the two of us what we wanted…

Couldn't decide, so we ordered everything on the menu, bar that one dish.
