Anyone recommend somewhere close to St Pancras/KX for a casual dinner midweek? Just want something other than the options in the stations

Quite late on this but Bao was great. Went on Monday, arrived at about 5:35pm and just had to wait for a few minutes whilst they got the queue inside. Tried almost everything and would recommend doing so, £60 for two with drinks.

Went to Oklava a couple of months ago and, although great tasting and probably around the same price, it made for a much less satisfying evening. Enjoyable, but didn't feel as good value for money as Bao.

What's your budget? Can usually get a decent lunch deal at galvins.

Not too pricey, that doesn't look too bad.

Was looking at Gunpowder, anyone been?

Shotgun has had very good reviews, Pitt Cue is always great

Burgers is a different thing really

We are all divided on the BBQ joints!
Bodeans I'd put top (still)
Sticky Wings, terrible
Reds True is alright but not a patch on Bodeans
Meat Liquor/Mission is great
Big Easy Covent Garden looks really nice but all the meat tastes the same, overly smoked
Pitt Cue decent although quite small portions and a lack of atmosphere
