Went to l'attelier near leicester square last week, that was really nice but 110 was a bit toppy for lunch (though that did include 2 cocktails and a bottle of wine).

Went to the Albion last night just off of shoreditch high street, been there for breakfast quite a bit (kidneys on toast is perfection) but never for dinner. steak and sides were reasonably priced and quite good. definately recommend it.

I'm not all that bothered usually but I don't want to go out to a restaurant and have a curry that tastes/looks like it came from Tescos.

also, regarding pizza east, noticed that a few people on here had recommended it a couple of pages back.
went when it first opened and wasnt too impressed myself, the restaurant was nice itself, but wasnt overly impressed by the food. the pizza was also near on impossible to cut!
would probably go back though as i definitely wouldnt say it was bad still

Ooo will definitely try the Dean Street Townhouse. Had a couple of people recommend that to me now. Went to the ever popular Fernandez and Wells yesterday and had the braised chicken which was really good. My friend had the celeriac and potato soup and managed to finish it, which is rather surprising considering she has the appetite of a mouse.

They were really busy and the waiter said 'we can't take any food orders for five minutes as the kitchen is overwhelmed' this turned into nearly 20 minutes,, finally ordered got the food, it was a huge portion and tasty but the fish was a bit greasy. Not worth £40 though!

Has the spurstowe, now my new local, changed management to the same people who own the royal oak? or is that old news?

Yeah it has changed which must be the reason it has suddenly become impossible to get a seat. Not old news, happened 6 weeks ago max, it closed for a couple of weeks and then reopened. What road do you live on?

Like one of the comments said people think this is a rare thing, I bet most take-aways are filthy and a large % of restaurants, they just don't get caught.

(no racist) but real Chieese people fresh outa China sometimes have lower standads cleanliness wise. I lived with a guy from China in halls and knew lots of oher folk who did. He just didn't see the poblem or didn't understand his vegtables were rotting.

^ yeah.. its my local..
Place is tiny though.. Used to be a florist when I was a kid.. And its in the skanky part of town..
Woman is a fucking fruitloop though.. If she doesn't think what you ordered goes together, so won't cook it for you..
One of my friends refuses to go back there after we sent her there to pick up a delivery and the woman shouted at her for wanting to look in the bag at what we'd ordered…

Can't get in there now.. its all booked up!
