I'm joining that gym in Feb myself, sleuth is a member and says it's alright. For a score a month you can't knock it. Will miss the pool and sauna/steam though.

when people start its quite common. it will end up being bench > squat > deadlift for most people.
for example my squat is 60kg more than my bench, and my deadlift is 70kg more than my squat
bench will go up the slowest. rippetoe likes his squats, so that will probably go up the fastest for you

I dont know whats funny about it but when I eat weetabix I eat 10 minimum. I once ate 40 in one sitting cause someone said I couldnt. Theres a video of it I might dig it out actually. (no CSB) to all of that.

Brad Pitt didnt retain the 'Fight Club' body after shooting, so I guess its an unrealistic goal for most people.
IMO unless you play sports its hard to stay ripped up anyway, when I played football every day I was ripped up and I didnt regulate my diet at all.
Also, 14 stone at 6"5 sounds about right, so I dont think theres enough calories in your diet Kompute. Maybe bite the bullet and post up a pic so people can judge your body type, it could also act as a 'before' pic and motivate you more knowing that we all watching.

10% is when you can see the top 4, if not 6 abs.
When you can start seeing abs, you're more like 13% (no pedant).
Oh and brad pitt wasn't carrying 'a fair amount of size'. He had some muscle, he was just very low on fat.

i'd put myself between 10-12% in which case. I've done none of it through cardio just (mainly) changing my diet, push ups, bar work and sit ups. I'm going back to a bit more cardio (squash) once i've finished my masters as ive just got no time for it now. Plus i'm going to eat loads of protein to turn my fat into muscle

Started Rippetoes Starting Strength tonight, seems pretty good, feel like i've worked the muscles more but with less intensity if that makes any sense, more of an all over general ache than specific pain locations.
Benching, squatting and deadlifting 30kg to start with. Is it usual for you to be able to do the same for each exercise?
Also weighed myself today, have actually put on 5/6 pounds in the 2 1/2 weeks i have been going. Have definitely lost a fair bit of fat around my gut though. Feeling good for it.
I want ineffs crown!

unless you are genetically predisposed to a very low BF then to maintain 7% would mean a joyless life I'd imagine!

Get some nandos sauce from tesco, like £2 a bottle and use that, Or I guess any marinade or sauce. Mirror is the best way at home, 10% is about when you can start seeing abs for most people, Brad Pitt was 7% for fight club apparently to give you an idea. Just keep calories low, no carbs, good protien and cardio and you'll drop fat in no time
